Hope-Memorial-Bridge-5643.jpg
The Guardians of Traffic which stand on the ends of the Hope Memorial Bridge (formerly the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge) symbolize progress in transportation. There are eight Guardians, two on each side of the double-sided sandstone pylons which flank each side of the ends of the bridge. Each Guardian holds a different vehicle in his hand, representing the history of ground transportation.
